Once Surgery is Scheduled...
Once you have scheduled your surgery, the next step is to schedule your pre-operative testing. This generally consists of chest x-ray, some blood work, and an EKG.
Clearance letter: please schedule an appointment with your primary care physician for a complete physical and obtain a letter of surgical clearance prior to your operation.
Kegel Exercises
You may begin Kegel exercises 6 to 8 weeks prior to your surgery to help with your urinary control after surgery.
