Residency Program - Affiliate Hospitals

NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia University Medical Center

  • Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, one of NewYork-Presbyterian's affiliated medical schools, was founded in 1767 and was the first institution to confer the degree of Doctor of Medicine. Located on a 20 acre campus in Washington Heights in upper Manhattan, Columbia P & S has been a forefront in medicine and research since its conception over 200 years ago.
  • NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital was ranked the best hospital in New York, and among the top urology programs in the nation in US News and World Report.
  • Columbia Urology residents spend their general surgery internship and four months of their PGY-2, PGY-5 and PGY-6 years at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia.

NewYork-Presbyterian/Allen Pavilion

  • Located at the tip of Manhattan, a community hospital part of New York-Presbyterian Hospital.
  • Physicians and surgeons of the Allen Pavilion are on the faculty of Columbia University College of Physicians & Surgeons.
  • Combines the convenience and individual attention of a community hospital with the expertise of a world-renowned medical center and one of the top-ranked medical schools, Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons.
  • Columbia Urology residents spend part of their PGY-3 and PGY-6 years as chief resident at the Allen Pavilion.

St. Luke's - Roosevelt Hospitals

  • Affiliate hospitals, St. Luke's Hospital is located near the main campus of Columbia University on Manhattan's Upper West Side. Roosevelt Hospital is located in midtown near Columbus Circle.
  • The affiliation allows four Columbia Urology residents subsidized housing at either site. The locations of the hospitals are close to excellent restaurants, theater, shopping and nightlife.
  • Columbia Urology residents spend four months of their PGY-5 year as chief resident at St. Luke's Hospital. They spend four months of their PGY-2 and PGY-6 years as chief resident at Roosevelt Hospital.

Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital of NewYork-Presbyterian

  • The only children's hospital in Manhattan, the Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital has been a pioneer in tertiary pediatric care since its inception.
  • Patients with complex and unique congenital urologic anomalies from all over the world seek the renown faculty for their expertise and management.
  • As a PGY-3, Columbia Urology residents spend four months on the pediatric urology service. As a PGY-5, they spend four months as a chief resident.
